Whānau o Seishin Ryu Niwa gathered together after training

Kia Manawa · Kia Māia · Kia Tika

He whare tū, he whānau ora

A house that stands, a whānau that thrives

A karate dōjō in Kaitaia where tamariki, rangatahi and whānau are grown through discipline, respect and belonging — held by the values of our tīpuna.

“Kia Manawa, Kia Māia, Kia Tika”
Have heart. Be courageous. Do what is right. Three words carried on our tohu — and the measure we hold ourselves to on the dōjō floor and beyond it.

Tō Mātou Kaupapa

Ehara i te karate anake — he ara whakatipu tangata

More than karate — a pathway for growing people

Karate is the vehicle, not the destination. Every session at Seishin Ryu Niwa is a chance to build confidence, character and connection — for the tamaiti stepping onto the mat for the first time, and for the whānau standing at the edge of it.
